Foundation Updates: August 2024

July 2024 has been an incredibly productive month for The Black Feather Foundation. We have made significant strides this month. We would like to highlight our sponsorship of the upcoming Fight For Children (FFC) Youth Sports Day on August 24th.

Fight For Children - Youth Sports Day

Newcomers, you are invited to join us for a FREE event featuring youth sports demo stations, games, prizes, a DJ, special Professional Sport Celebrities, Guest Speakers, food, free back to school haircuts, and fun for the whole family! The event will take place on Saturday, August 24, from 10 am to 2 pm EDT at The Fields at RFK Campus in Washington, DC. Sign up HERE.

Fight For Children Youth Sports Day showcases the importance of youth sports in improving the lives of young people and informs families about affordable after school programs that focus on mental and physical health, educational achievement and mentoring.

Our outreach materials have received a makeover, with new brochures and business cards thanks to the creative touch of our marketing team at Diesel Jack Media.

Community Outreach

Throughout July, we had boots on the ground, actively meeting with newcomer community leaders from Afghanistan across the DMV area. These meetings have allowed us to get to know each other better and spread the word about our upcoming event on August 24th.
